5 Great Catering Software Options for Corporate Events

Published by in Event Management Software

One of my favorite things about working at Capterra is their willingness to feed us.

The caterers that are brought in by Capterra are always fantastic, but they didn’t earn their reputation overnight. They have had to track how much food they are sending to venues or businesses and keep tabs on who is working, who is ordering, and how much everything is costing them.

Doing all of this is much easier with the right catering software, especially if you are catering to the corporate world. In order to maintain your business while feeding these white collar eaters,  here are five great catering software options for corporate events.

Caterease is the world’s most popular catering software with 40,000 current users worldwide. They have a five-star rating aggregated from reviews on Capterra. They offer both online and installed versions with a full arsenal of features such as banquet management, costing, billing & invoicing, order management, as well as full software support and training.

Caterease is offered in three versions based on the size and scope of your catering needs. As expected, whether you choose a web-based or installed software will determine the price you pay.

CaterTrax is a web-based software made to help caterers manage and facilitate order, customers, and even host catering websites. Although it misses some features such as banquet management, it does include order management, automatic invoicing, and workflow management.

Their website offers quotes on request since their pricing is tiered based on the needs of your catering business.

Unfortunately, CaterTrax has not been reviewed on Capterra.

Foodstorm Corporate Catering

You can’t get anymore niche to corporate event catering than Foodstorm’s corporate catering software. Foodstorm is highly rated on Capterra with four-and-a-half stars out of five, and its reviews boast about its functionality and excellent software support.

Foodstorm has plenty of key catering software features such as online ordering, order tracking, reporting, accounting software integration with Microsoft Dynamics and Xero, as well as banquet management. In case you have any doubts about this software Foodstorm offers case studies demonstrating the success of their software with companies such as Nando’s Peri-Peri and Elizabeth Andrews Corporate Catering.

The final price is negotiated with the vendor based on plans and features.

Better Cater

With one reviewer claiming that Better Cater “changed their life,” this highly rated cloud catering software is a solid choice for any catering business. Not only has Better Cater been featured on Capterra, it has also gained recognition from CaterSource and The Food Revolt Podcast.

Better Cater offers an easy-to-use interface with many useful features like customer databases, event management, kitchen/menu management, and recipe management.

The pricing for Better Cater is affordable compared to other thousand dollar software options. Better Cater is offered either month-to-month for $47/month or annually for $470/year.

Total Party Planner

Total Party Planner is a catering software option that is hard ignore. With a five-star rating on Capterra based on 32 reviews as well as a dense feature list, Total Party Planner certainly earns its spot on this list. Not only is TPP a cloud based software, but also has mobile capabilities on both Android and iOS.

Features include communication tracking, order management, inventory management, booking management, and recipe management.

Total Party Planner is offered on a month-to-month basis for $125/month or annually for $1250/year. A one-time $499 activation fee is also charged in addition to your monthly or annual plan.
