7 Cheap Marketing Automation Software Solutions for Less Than $300 a Month

You’ve seen the most popular, compared the top alternatives to HubSpot, and considered what you can get for free. But what if none of those marketing automation solutions fit both your budget and your requirements at the same time?

Just like Goldilocks, you don’t want something too expensive or with too few features; you want a marketing automation system that fits your needs just right.

If you identify with Goldilocks in this scenario, I’m happy to say that you’ve found the right place to start your search! In no particular order, here are seven cheap marketing automation solutions for under $300 per month.


The cheapest marketing automation system on this list, Autopilot offers a plan for just $4 per month! Granted, you’re only allowed to store up to 500 contacts, but at that price, you still get every feature Autopilot offers. Their starting price also includes unlimited users and email sends, which are normally limited by other marketing automation providers. As the number of contacts in your database increases, so does the price, with 500,000 contacts costing about $2,400 per month.

Starting price: $4/month

Features included:

  • WYSIWYG email editor
  • List management  
  • Lead nurturing (referred to as “Journey”)  
  • Unlimited custom contact fields
  • CRM integration: Salesforce, Zapier
  • Funnel reporting
  • Support – access to community forum, email-based support, onboarding assistance


While it’s more expensive than Autopilot, SimplyCast also offers almost every feature, even at the lowest price level. What it does limit is the number of contacts, users, forms, and landing pages, so make sure that if you go with one of the lower price levels, your marketing goals won’t outgrow the system too quickly.


Starting price: $99/month (5,000 contacts, 2 users)

  • Custom triggered actions
  • Email, form, and page reports
  • Social media integration and posting
  • Lead management
  • CRM integration: Salesforce, Zoho CRM, SugarCRM


Not only does Spokal include marketing automation features, it offers many cool features specific to your web content through WordPress. For example, you can A/B test blog titles to figure out which type of title works best for your audience. One limitation Spokal has is that you need to be a MailChimp or ActiveCampaign user to take advantage of its email testing and nurturing capabilities due to how their integration system is built.

Starting price: $49/month (1 user, 200 contacts, up to 5,000 unique visitors per month)

Advertised as “dead easy” marketing automation, Nurture has six price tiers to choose from, so any business, big or small, can find the plan perfect for their marketing goals. A major negative with their low-cost plans is that they don’t include any CRM integration capability, so if that’s an important feature, you probably want to consider the higher price tiers.


Starting price: $95/month (1,000 contacts, 1 user)

  • Rule-based email campaigns
  • Email, form, and landing page creators
  • Website tracking
  • Lead scoring
  • CRM integration: Salesforce, SugarCRM

Constant Contact

Constant Contact is best known for its email marketing software, but it also offers marketing automation features in its Email Plus package. You get every feature from their regular email marketing package, as well as their advanced features, which include automation capabilities.

Starting price: $45/month (unlimited emails, 3 users)

Features included:

  • Triggered email automation
  • Lead nurturing
  • Event registration and management
  • Customer surveys
  • CRM integration: Salesforce


With only two price levels to choose from, Ontraport includes all of their features in both. However, it does limit the number of contacts and users you can have, as well as the number of emails you can send per month.

Starting price: $297/month (25,000 contacts, 2 users, 100,000 emails per month)

  • Landing page and form builder
  • Email creator
  • Email and landing page split testing
  • Segmentation rules
  • Lead scoring
  • Open API
  • WordPress integration


There are two ways to price the Genoo platform: per email or number of contacts. From there, Genoo offers three different price levels to choose from, too. If you price by number of contacts, you can send an unlimited number of emails, and vice versa. There is a significant price difference between the two pricing models, so consider whether unlimited contacts or emails are more important for your marketing goals.

  • $199/month (unlimited contacts, 500 emails, 3 users)
  • $274/month (unlimited emails, up to 10,000 contacts, 3 users)
