It’s hard enough to execute your business’ vision and goals. Then comes the challenge of organizing and scheduling your most important asset: your employees!

Coordinating any group of people can be complicated, but the right employee scheduling software can eliminate some of the stress. And don’t think this software is only for those enterprise businesses! Even companies with two desks in the corner office need to coordinate vacation time.

Employee scheduling software lets you organize employees’ schedules to minimize time wasted, improve group communication and, ultimately, maximize productivity and results. Features include appointment management, automated scheduling, calendar management, employee database, group scheduling, time tracking and much more. Planning, sharing and executing staff tasks, meetings, and schedules is now easier than ever!

Now that you’re sold on employee scheduling, you’re probably wondering where to start your search. With so many competing options available, it’s difficult for employers to know which employee scheduling system is best for them and their needs.

That’s why we’ve produced our Top 20 Most Popular Employee Scheduling Software report. This report breaks down the various solutions available by customers, users, number of reviews, and social presence to gauge overall software reach and popularity.

While this research is a good way to familiarize yourself with the big players in the employee scheduling industry, it’s not all-inclusive. For a full list, check out our Employee Scheduling Software directory. It’s important to review all of your options before creating your shortlist.

We created this report with our Popularity Index, and algorithm that produces a weighted and ranked score based on:

– Number of active customers [40%]– Number of active users [40%]– Number of reviews on Capterra [10%]– Social media presence (Facebook likes, Twitter followers, LinkedIn followers) [10%]

We defined active customers as the number of organizations who have accessed the software in the past year. We defined active users as the number of end users at those organizations (employees) who have accessed the software in the past year. We have these strict definitions in place to keep our data consistent across vendors

To generate our data, we reached out to software companies and performed independent research. Where possible, we used the customer and user numbers given to us by the software companies. We pushed back and questioned any numbers that seemed inflated.

The Capterra-generated estimates are highlighted in the below chart. All software companies were notified and were given the opportunity to address any estimates we generated. We are confident these are the best estimates available to the public at this time and were created based on publicly available data and industry averages.

What do you think? Did we miss an employee scheduling software system? Let us know because we update our reports annually!
